Ellis Emmerson (they/them) is a queer illustrator and designer based in Buckinghamshire, UK. Their work explores themes of connection and sensitive observation, and encompasses a love for the tactile nature of creative practice. Heavily influenced by traditional craft forms from medieval tapestries to woodblock printing, Ellis’s work is as eclectic as the many topics they are inspired by.
Ellis first studied Foundation Design for Theate, Screen and Performance at the University of the Arts London before falling in love with visual arts on a course in Art Direction. They are currently completing their MA Illustration at Kingston University, having studied the topic at BA previously.
